“But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that this day should overtake you like a thief.” 1 Thessalonians 5:4
September 11, 2016
September 11, 2001 was a day like no other and a day that brought America together in crisis for a short while. Today makes it fifteen years and much has changed since then. I remember that day very vividly and I have never seen church parking lots that full ever again. For a short time the message was clear, we as a nation were vulnerable and we needed to regain God’s hand of protection that had been evident in times past. Now 15 years later it is the consensus that we feel less safe than we did 15 years ago.
Since September 11th there have been other attacks and one at the onset was on March 11, 2004 in Madrid. The train bombings killed 192 and injured over 2,000 and it was the worst incident of terrorism in the history of Spain.
