An aspect of the countdown

May 17, 2017

Just a quick review...

The night before Babylon fell to the Medo-Persians, the infamous hand wrote on the wall proclaiming Babylon’s fall. “Mene mene tekel upharsin” it wrote and in monetary terms that can be broken down to 2,520 gerahs. From the time the nation of Judah was taken captive by the Babylonians (606 BC), the time the Temple of Jerusalem was destroyed (587 BC), the time Israel returned to the land of Israel (537 BC), and the time the Desolations of Jerusalem ended (518 BC), it turned out that exactly 2,520 years after those events, the significant stages of modern Israel would occur. Simply put those events were six and they were the following:

Signs of the End - Orders
Signs of the End - Orders
1878 – Petah Tikva was the pioneer Jewish settlement. 2,520 360-day years from 606 BC.

1897 – The meeting of the first Zionist Congress in Basle, Switzerland. 2,520 360-day years from 587 BC.

1914 – WW1 begins on 9 AV. 2,520 solar years from 606 BC.

1933 – Jewish anti-Semitism laws passed on Passover in Germany. 2,520 solar years from 587 BC.

1948 – Israel is established as a state again. 2,520 360-day years from 537 BC when Israel returned from their captivity.

1967 – Israel wins back Jerusalem. 2,520 360-day years from 518 BC when Jerusalem’s desolations ended.

Here then we stand in the spring of 2017, fifty years from the last event on this list. The Six-Day-War of June 5-10, 1967 would prove most interesting, especially June 7, 1967 when Israel won Jerusalem and also the Temple Mount. However, ten days later, Israel gave the Temple Mount back to the WAQF in an appeasement gesture for peace as it stands to this day. What proved interesting was initially counting the days from June 7th forward. Counting forty 360-day years from June 7, 1967 led to November 8, 2006, and the interesting fact was that on the Hebrew Calendar, it was the anniversary day that the Flood of Noah began, which commenced 40 days and 40 nights of rain. The kicker was that Noah had died 2,006 years after Creation and 2006 now had this anniversary Flood day so designated.

The year 2006 eventually came and Israel would fight in its largest war since 1973’s Yom Kippur War. The war broke on July 12, 2006, which was 120 days before November 8th, which was Heshvan 17. A 120 day lead in seemed to parallel a 120 year warning Noah was given for the Flood. The war lasted 33 days ending on August 14, 2006. November 8, 2006 came and went with the exception of Mercury transcribing the Sun 14,400 (120 squared) days since June 7, 1967.

Since that time any significant engagement of Israel or the Middle East came at significant day counts. Coincidence became an unlikely word as the events unfolded.

2008 - Operation Cast Lead - Began December 27th. 900 days from the start of the 2006 Lebanon War. The operation went into Gaza to stop the thousands of rockets Hamas fired into southern Israel since the 2006 war. The cease-fire was declared by Prime Minister Olmert on January 17, 2009 before US President Obama took office. The cease-fire came at 15,200 days from June 7, 1967.

2010 - Gaza Flotilla Incident - May 31. This was 500 days after the Cast Lead Cease-fire. 15,700 days from June 7, 1967.. The Gaza flotilla raid was a military operation by Israel against six civilian ships attempting to break through Israel’s blockade of Gaza. When Israel Defense Forces boarded the Turkish Ship MV Mavi Marmara, they were met with clubs and casualties resulted. It was seen by Israel as a media stunt and it severely damaged Israeli and Turkish relations.

2010 - “Arab Spring” begins - 10th Tevet - Dec 17th. 15,900 days from 6/7/67. 700 days from Cast Lead. Fruit seller, Mohamed Bouazizi, 26, set himself on fire in protest of continued governmental harassment of his business. His act on December 17, 2010 launched the Tunisian Revolution with great emotion, which spread with the encouragement of the Obama Administration to the neighboring countries. This day was also 1,500 days from Heshvan 17, 2006—the Flood anniversary day bringing to mind the 150 days the Ark was afloat.

2012 - Operation Pillar of Cloud - November 17th at 16,600 days from 6/7/67. 700 days from the Arab Spring. After more than 100 rockets were launched from Gaza within 24 hours, Israel attacked Gaza.

2014 - Operation Protective Edge - Night of July 8th. 17,200 days from 6/7/67. 600 days from Pillar of Cloud. Israel’s attack on Gaza after Israeli teenagers were kidnapped and murdered followed by massive rocket launches into Israel from Gaza even hitting Jerusalem for the first time. Israel inflicted significant casualties and destroyed the tunnels found leading into Israel.

2017 - Syria Chemical Weapons Attack - April 4th. 18,200 days from June 7, 1967. 1,000 days from Operation Protective Edge. 1,600 days from Operation Pillar of Cloud. 2,300 days from the start of the Arab Spring. 2,500 days from the Gaza Flotilla Incident. 3,000 days from the Cast Lead Cease fire. Chemical weapons were used which prompted a response from the USA.

As summer approaches the days left are getting short and I wonder how much more will happen to set up for September. We are closing in on 120 days left when Ascension Day comes next Thursday. 153 x 120 days from June 7, 1967 is 9/11/2017. It is also 153 x 120 days from June 17, 1967 (surrender of the Temple Mount) to the Feast of Trumpets 2017.

It is not the time for fastening our seat belts. It is time to sprint for the finish line that seems to be before us.
